West Jesse James Road Corridor Improvements

Brian Rice, Chamber President

Transystems engineers are conducting a comprehensive study focused on street and sidewalk improvements throughout the city. This marks the first step toward utilizing the $26 million RAISE Grant funds awarded to the city by the State of Missouri for future construction.

Specifically, Transystems has insights regarding the stretch of W. Jesse James Rd. between Crown Hill Road and McCleary Road, which they would like to share with you.

As a property and business owner in this area, you are invited to an OPEN HOUSE THIS WEDNESDAY, OCT. 2 at the Excelsior Springs Mid-Continent Public Library (1460 Kearney Rd.). The open house will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is designed as a come-and-go event.

We encourage you to take your lunch break to meet with Transystems engineers, learn about their findings, and ask questions specific to your property. As a key stakeholder, you will also have the opportunity to register for future updates and ongoing communication.

The Westside CID District is excited to be part of this communication and planning phase for the westside Excelsior Springs development. We hope you’ll join us Wednesday to participate in these important discussions.
