Waterfest is Excelsior’s annual summertime celebration with activities for the entire family. Now in its 41st year, Waterfest’s two-day schedule is full of free events such a live music on the main stage sponsored by Rite-Way Automotive and Tow, a Waterfest parade, hot air balloon rides sponsored by Remax of Excelsior Springs, a beer garden, kids’ games, a car show, a bike show, fireworks and so much more.
Stroll up and down Broadway and take in the fun with close to 100 booths showcasing arts, crafts, clothing, novelties, and gifts. Enjoy a wide variety of festival food and drink all day long.
Learn of our mineral water history inside the Hall of Waters with events hosted by the Friends of the Wells, along with our annual Calico Quilters quilt show.
Drawing over 10,000 residents and tourists, Waterfest is Excelsior’s largest celebration, earning the Best Festival designation in the Community of Excellence Awards for 2023.

Are you looking for a fun way to get involved in your community this summer? Look no further than Waterfest! This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, and we’re looking for volunteers to help us make it a success.
