For 92 years, the Excelsior Springs Area Chamber of Commerce has hosted our Annual Dinner with the event remaining relatively unchanged over the course of its history. Our committee decided to go in a different direction this year, and we are excited to bring a fun, new event to our community by hosting a night of “Magic, Money and Mayhem” on a date in August TBD. Doors will open at 6:00pm, dinner starts at 6:30pm, and we’ll start the reverse raffle at 7:00pm.
We are so appreciative of the businesses that have supported our Annual Dinner over the years! This year, the committee will not be reaching out to the community for auction items as we have in the past, however if there is something you’d like to donate, we certainly won’t turn anything away. We ask that you support the event by purchasing tickets and joining us for a night of great entertainment and food, and the chance to win one of our cash prizes!
“Magic” refers to the featured entertainment of the night Todd Lamanske, also known as “the Magic Dude.” His unique sense of humor and quick wit, combined with his amazing sleight-of-hand skills have established him as one of the nation’s favorite entertainers. Lamanske will perform for guests during the dinner.
“Money” refers to the reverse raffle that will take place at the event. Each $75 ticket grants the bearer a chance to win one of several cash prizes drawn throughout the night. The raffle will work backwards by eliminating balls from the pot. One in every ten balls drawn will receive their ticket money of $75 back. The owner of the last ball drawn will receive a $3000 cash prize, with over $5000 in prize money awarded in total.
“Mayhem” is a reference to the crazy, new approach to the typical annual dinner. Guests can expect to have a great time at the high energy affair. Other changes include a move to the Montgomery Event Venue which is right across the street from the new Chamber office. A cash bar will be available.
