Thank you for your service all these years Chief!Excelsior Springs Fire Department is pleased to announce the retirement of Fire Chief Paul Tribble effective on June 16th, 2020 after 34 years of service with ESFD and a combined 36-year Fire and EMS career.

Chief Tribble began with ESFD on June 12th, 1986 as a Firefighter/EMT and later achieved certification as a Paramedic. Throughout the years he has held the ranks of Captain, Assistant Fire Chief, and Deputy Fire Chief prior to becoming Chief of the Department on April 16th, 2014.

In addition to his professional leadership within the walls of ESFD and on scenes commanding decade’s worth of emergencies, Chief Tribble is probably best known for his compassion, giving nature, and community outreach. Throughout his career, he participated in numerous local organizations and events constantly striving to improve the community’s connection with their Fire and EMS providers. He headed education programs for juvenile fire starters in hope that through care and knowledge he could alter their paths for the better. He arranged and often paid out of his own pocket for bus transportation allowing students to visit the fire station for tours and safety education. Throughout his career in the fire service Chief Tribble dedicated much of his time away to instructing upcoming generations of firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics via the Excelsior Springs Career Center, Blue River Community College, and as an instructor for the MU Fire and Rescue Training Institute.

Chief Tribble’s contributions to the City of Excelsior Springs, its citizens, and the Fire Service as a whole are difficult to do justice in a few short paragraphs. If you have had the honor of working beside, learning from, or just knowing personally Chief Paul Tribble then count yourself as lucky and please join us in wishing him the most blessed of retirements.

Chief, while we are sad to see you go we appreciate all you do and all you have done not only for us but for the community and the department.

The election is coming up! Please consider voting YES to #PropT. A "yes" vote will give the Excelsior Springs School District students a much needed brand new elementary school, a new early childhood center, district-wide building updates and improvements, and more!

Plus it will pave the way for:
• District-wide busing for ALL elementary students regardless of distance to their school.
• Combined with federal grants, Elkhorn and the new Westview would have FEMA/SEMA Certified community use tornado shelters
• Future district improvements, including a new Lewis Elementary down the road.

Our kids deserve the best - let's help them get it!

If you have any questions regarding Prop T and what all it entails, please don't hesitate to ask!
