Join us for our monthly Chamber Luncheon. Next luncheon January 21, 2009 at the Clay/Ray Vet's Club, sponsored by the Excelsior Springs School District.




The Elms Resort & Spa sponsored the December Chamber Luncheon, providing attendees with a historic slide show of the hotel and discussing the anticipated sale and renovation of the hotel, scheduled to begin in January.

Upcoming Events

• Jan. 2-11 – After Christmas Sales, downtown stores

• Jan. 3 and 10 – Live Music at Willow Spring Mercantile, 2-5 p.m.

• Jan. 3 – Mosby Opry, a live country, gospel and bluegrass music program at Mosby City Hall, 7-10 p.m. Everyone is entitled to attend and perform. Suggested donation is one non-perishable food item per person (There is no admission fee). Concessions will be available. For more information call 630-6988.

• Jan. 10 – Crescent Lake Concert Series, "Jazz Away Your Winter Blues," featuring Lester Estelle and friends and Rev. Jimmie Bratcher and band, at the Crescent Lake Center, 1250 St. Louis Ave., 7 p.m.

• Jan. 15 - Apr. 15 – Donald Judd Exhibit at Museum and Archives, local resident and known worldwide artist exhibiting never before shown paintings. Call 816-630-0101 for details.

• Jan. 17 – Excelsior Springs Community Theatre 2009 Gala, Clay-Ray Veteran's Hall, social hour 6 p.m., dinner 7 p.m., entertainment and awards 8 p.m. $18 per person with dinner or $10 per person for entertainment and awards only. Reservations required. Call 816-637-3728 and leave your name, phone number and number in your party.

• Jan. 23-25 & 30-31 – "Legends" by James Kirkwood playing at the Paradise Playhouse Dinner Theatre, 816-630-3333.

The City of Excelsior Springs and RDG/Larkin Group invite the public to participate in an on-line survey that asks about strengths, weaknesses and wish lists for Excelsior Springs.
